Help support our upcoming CycLOUvia.

Help Support Our Upcoming Cyclouvia Today! CYCLOUVIA is a free event taking place Sunday, October 14th, 2012 from 2-6 p.m. along a 3-mile stretch of Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue from the Douglass Loop to Broadway.Conventional traffic will be replaced by people as the street be-comes a paved park where people of all ages and backgrounds can walk, bike, dance, skate, or par-ticipate in any other physical activity on public spaces that are always there but are normally re-served for automobiles. Automobile cross traffic will be allowed at major intersections along the route

While promoting healthy lifestyles and alternative modes of transportation, Cyclouvia will additionally create a vibrant economic opportunity for business along the corridor. Commercial establishments with frontage along the Cyclouvia corridor are encouraged to open their businesses and engage the side-walk during event hours to create a community atmosphere that is uniquely Louisville.

A substantial portion of the funding for Cyclouvia has been graciously provided by Louisville Metro Government and Councilman Tom Owen, but more is needed.

A Kickstarter campaign has been established to raise the final portion of the budget. Donations are greatly appreciated and necessary to produce this event this year and in the future. Any amount is appreciated! For more information or to donate via Kickstarter please visit http://www.cyclouvia.org or contact Michael King at 502-574-0032.
